Electric Bike Rental FAQs

  • Maximum rider weight is 280 lbs.  Heavier riders will impact range.
  • Riders 15 and older can ride with an adult.  16 and older can ride without an adult.
  • On average you can go about 40-50 miles per charge. But this depends on rider weight and the amount of pedal assist being used.
  • In you are going East – Koko Head / Hanauma Bay is the furthest recommended.  Lanikai/Kailu is a bit too far in our opinion.  Please check with us if you are not sure as you don’t want to get stranded with a dead battery.
  • Yes.  Bike helmets, locks and cell phone mounts are provided.

Bike infrastructure in Honolulu is improving, but unfortunately, it is still not great in certain areas.  Going towards Diamond Head has great bike lanes and is more residential, but going towards the city involves more urban riding and is recommended for more experienced riders.

Walk-ins are always welcome, but it’s best to reserve in advance if you have a larger group, want a premium bike, or have a special seat set up for the cargo bike.  A reservation will guarantee that you will have your desired bike for your requested date and time.

We have a 24-hour cancellation policy.  Full refunds are given for cancellation requests made 24 hours from your requested start time.  Refunds will not be made for cancellation requests made within 24 hours.

You should feel comfortable on a regular bike before riding an e-bike.  The bikes are powerful and you should feel comfortable riding in an urban setting as Waikiki can get busy at times.    Our bikes are equipped with mirrors fore safety and helmets are included with all rentals.

All day rentals are great when you want to pack in a lot into one day but not worry about the time constraints.  Its great for beach exploration, visiting museums, multi-hikes and more!
