The Diamond Head Ride & Hike is our most popular ride and a great choice for those who want a little exercise while taking in the beauty of Hawaii on one of our easy-to-ride eBikes.

We start in Waikiki and head along the beach to take in some awesome ocean views.  We continue our ascent towards Diamond Head and take a short break at Makalei Beach Park.

We circle around Diamond Head, ride through Kahala, and lock the bikes inside Diamond Head. We then hike to the peak for some amazing views!  The hike takes a little less than 1.5 hours in total.

E-Bike Ride

E-Bikes are an awesome way to experience Waikiki and the ride to Diamond Head is simply gorgeous.  If you can ride a regular bike, you can ride an E-Bike; so join us for a fun ride and an awesome hike up the iconic Diamond Head crater!

Diamond Head Hike

Hiking Diamond Head is a must do if you are visiting Oahu and there is no better way to get there than by E-Bike.  The views are spectacular and the hike can be done by hikers of all levels.

  • This hike is of medium difficulty due to some steep sets of stairs.
  • The hike takes a little over an hour.  40 minutes up and about 30 down.
  • It can get hot (especially in the summer), so a hat, comfortable shoes, small towel and extra water are recommended.
  • The trail is well travelled and does not contain a lot of lose footing.

Frequently Asked Questions

Here are the answers to some of the frequently asked questions we get about the Diamond Head Ride & Hike:

  • Q.  Is it better to hike in the morning or afternoon?
    A. The morning tends to be a little cooler, but is definitely much more busy.  The afternoon is a little hotter but the trail is a lot less busy so you can hike faster.
  • Q. How hard is the hike?
    A. If you are relatively active, you should be ok. There are rest stops along the way so we can go at our own pace.  If you have knee / hip issues, the steeper stairs may be a challenge.  We do have riders or individual group members who prefer not to hike.
  • Q. What should I wear or bring?
    A.  Active wear is recommended; shorts and a t-shirt is usually fine. A hat, small towel and sunscreen as the hike doesn’t have a lot of tree cover.  Hiking boots aren’t needed, comfortable sneakers (not sandals) are recommended. We provide 1 bottle of water, but an additional bottle is recommended (especially for the summer and afternoon hikes).
  • Q. What is the minimum age for participation? Are there any other restrictions?
    A. This ride is for ages 15+ as that is the minimum age to operate a Class 2 E-Bike. The recommended Age is from 15-65. This ride is not recommended for those with balance problems or physical limitations that would prevent them from riding a bike.
